Its development
As regards its economic activities, there are different industrial establishments located mainly in the Industrial Park of Neuquén: metallurgical, timber, ceramic, and packaging material industries, among others. Neuquén and Limay rivers have contributed to the rise of the agricultural activities, specially the intensive culture of fruit trees, like apples and pears. This activity is expanding into the near towns of Plottier, Senillosa and Centenario, where the production of fruit and, to a minor extent, the growing of vegetables, is the main source of income for the regional economy.
